They will have you feeling all kinds of emotions when the past catches up to their present. A rollercoaster of passion and desire. I loved the book!!!! I read it twice and it’s still my favorite out of this series. The love story and passion, not to mention the pot of events leading up to their engagement/ happy ever after. I wish their story would continue like the small Christmas short book that recently came out. Love it. Highly recommend it.

Consuming Read

What an adorable fun read this book was the plot was intriguing and consuming along with romance the main characters experience. I admire how much the main characters grew individually and together working through their separate issues along with learning from one another. I love the different perspectives it makes getting to know the characters more deeply and easy. The supporting characters were great and I felt getting to know them was fair they had equal time and were not forgotten. A must read and glad it's a series.

Family drama, Emotional history and Huge trust issues are just a few of the obstacles they must overcome if they really want a peaceful future. Extremely entertaining late-night read that draws you in and does not let go. Ian is the oldest Dare sibling he is also wicked smart and total alpha male completely in control of every aspect of his world (or so it seems). He is so not looking for everlasting love (since in his opinion it is not real). Loved every heart pounding twist and turn on this emotional journey to self-discovery and personal growth leading to their possible future. Excited to read more about the rest of the family.

I found the book to be excellent with a good background of understanding different aspects of family's having trouble in their lives. I would recommend this book for all to read to understand the trust issuers of being in involved with problems like these families had. Over all an excellent story. Keep up the good work. Great read! I love the way Ms. Phillips showed characters with real life insecurities derived from childhood and how they affect us as life pro- gresses. So real. I especially liked an epilogue. Lots of writers today don't have them anymore and leave us wondering what the future was. As always, Ms. Phillips has a wonderful story. I feel like I know the characters.

From the moment they met, the sparks flew. Ian Dare and Riley Taylor were explosive together! The only one that didn't want them together was Riley's best friend and Ian's half brother, Alex Dare. Alex and Ian had different mothers and very different relationships with their father. They also didn't care for one another, until they had Riley in common. Ghosts from her past resurface and Ian and Alex must work together to try and save her. Fantastic story! Two wounded souls with different tragic pasts. Ian Dare is gorgeous, sexy alpha male dominant, and willing to do just about anything for Riley. What a man! I think I found my next book boyfriend! Riley is a strong, independent, beautiful woman who is learning that she is afraid of and at the same time, likes Ian's dominant side. Perfect! I love the amazing friendship Riley has with Alex. I am so happy that there might be a little fence mending in the Dare family soon. I can't wait to read the next book and see what's going on with Alex and Madison. Thank you Carly Phillips for such an amazing read!

Carly Phillips' Turns Up the Heat

Carly Phillips is an auto-buy for me. I just love her books. She has really turned up the heat on this one and I really enjoyed it. The hero, Ian Dare and the heroine, Riley Taylor both have some serious issues from the past. They both want to control everything in their lives because of things that happened in the past. It was enjoyable watching these two learn how to give up some of that control they needed to cope. I loved all of the other characters, especially Ian's half brother, Alex. Such a great storyline with these characters and I can't wait to learn more about each of Ian's siblings and half siblings. All in all great story with great characters. My only complaint would be that it was shorter in length than a usual Carly book and since I love Carly's books I wished it went on longer! ;)

Dare to Love is a fun, flirty, sexy romp. This couple has more walls and hurdles to jump than a steeplechase course, but the journey is worth it. Once again, Ms. Phillips writes a great book that leaves you with a smile and a hunger for more of her books!

I have just finished reading this book from an advanced copy from the author. Carly Phillips keeps you glued to the pages with her characters and the story opening up on each and every page. Ian Dare is a strong and powerful man...a bit scary but oh so sexy also. Riley Taylor is hiding a secret only her and her best friend know. Read this book and you won't be disappointed. I have never been disappointed by a Carly Phillips book yet!

Carly Phillips has done it again. "Dare to Love" is well crafted with wonderful character development. From beginning to end, the story is as funny as it is hot. The author knows just when to add humor and when put it all on out there. Definitely an adult read. Way to amp it up Phillips! The chemistry sizzles from their first encounter, and only gets hotter with each turn of the page. Ian wants Riley from first sight, but despite enjoying women does have a code he follows — don't mess with someone else's woman, especially a family member's — and he doesn't do relationships. Not only do these two lonely soles with scarred hearts, daddy issues (justifiably so) and more walls to keep people out than Jericho grow together, more so with each encounter, they grow personally as well. Despite instant attraction, Ian and Riley don't instantly jump in the sack. Their connection mounts along with their unrequited sexual tension before they have to have that connection. Love that their voyage wasn't all smooth sailing. Like real life, this pair faced many obstacles, personal and as they grow closer as a couple. Trust doesn't come easy to either, and both hit roadblocks along the way, emotional landmines triggering doubt from past hurt. This book also addresses infidelity and domestic abuse. Although neither is described graphically, the long reaching impact of each are important factors to Ian and Taylor's story. Phillips handles both beautifully within the contest of this book. Phillips knows how to best turn a phrase to maximize its impact. For instance, instead of saying he couldn't stand to hurt her, Phillips writes, "The thought of putting any kind of pain in those blue eyes was like slicing his own skin." She takes the ordinary and makes it live, you feel what the characters do. Love that she pretty much nails the male attitude toward too. Once I started, I couldn't put "Dare to Love" down. Can't wait for the next book in Phillips' first indie series (Dare to Love), "Dare to Desire." I totally fell in love with other members of the Dare clan.
